Term 3 week 5 (TUE)

Mr Chua came in the class,we greeted Mr Chua Good Morning and off we go starting on our lesson. Mr Chua started off the lesson with Q&A (questions and answers). From the Q&A, i have learnt more about Elvis's live as in why he took those drugs and etc. We also did some admins in collecting worksheets and also finding the culprits on the students that did not do their homework.

Then Mr Chua told us to find sentences or words in the text that we did not know. Mr Chua asked about the Cape Canaveral sending out an alert. Most of us were dumbfounded by that word,so Mr Chua explained to us about it. A Cape Canaveral is a place where the scientists sends rocket/spaceship to space. In the text it is said that he was doing a hundred and five and Cape Canaveral sent out an alert. It meant that it was sending our an alert because it was burning as for hundred it tells us that he was speeding to fast till the Cape Canaveral had to sent out and alert. Nor forgetting about the drugs also. Elvis Presley took drugs because he wanted to forget his misery and pain. Therefore he took those drugs in a amount the is so uncountable to us and also because of his stupid ideas of forgetting his misery and pain in a more painful way that could lead to death,he ended his live quite early and left his fans disappointed of him. It was said that he had overdosed the drugs and died in a tragic way(bloated).The bell rang,Mr Chua greeted us good bye and went off for his next lesson. Therefore,overdosing ourselves with drug/pills will not help us forget pain and misery but it will shorten our lives! ;D

Term 3 week 5 (MON)

Firstly we greeted Mr Chua as he entered the class. Then we started off with our lesson. We did some recaps on the the previous text that we read which is Scene 2. As for today we had started on Scene 3. The scene is back to Older Preslesy live. As most of us can see that in scene 1 and 3, it is about Older Presle while in Scene 2 it is about Younger Presley.This is known as a literally device called Flashback. I could see the the difference between the relationship of Older Presley and Redhead shows that he was filial and positive towards them. Even the relationship between Younger Presley and with his mama,Gladys Preseley. I can see the whenever his mama died(it was when he was older), he doesn't treat Redhead very well like it used to be back then although she was his girlfriend. We could also tell that from the text that Elvis didn't really care or love about Redhead, he was just toying with Redhead's feelings. How sad and dissapointing of Elvis's behaviour... :( During Scene 3, he showed to Redhead how he felt when his live was in a terrible mess. Meaning,how he misses his mama and how he felt after he knew that Redhead wanted to leave him or was frustrated at him.After some explanation and questionaires from Mr Chua, he gave us a worksheet one Scene 3 and we were needed to hand it up in next week's literauture lesson.The bell rang,Mr Chua greeted us good bye and rush of for his next lesson.

Term 3 week 4 (TUE)

Today, Mr Chua asked us to open our text on scene 1. Then he instructed us to imagine how Older Presley had treated his girlfriend, Redhead. After i read the text, i realised that Elvis treated his girlfriend in a cold and negative way. Not only Elvis treated Redhead cold but he also though that her character was like his friends, Duke and Gerry. They both wanted Elvis's wealth and not friendship.It was so crucial of Elvis.In my opinion,i think Redhead treated Elvis in a way that has care and concern. I can also see that from the text that Redhead is worried abut Elvis's health because Elvis is asking pills/drugs,therefore Redhead could stand the behaviour of Elvis and if he were to continue behaving like the way he is,he will definitely won't live long. Whenever Redhead wanted to talk to Elvis,he would give a quick judgemental question by asking her whether she wanted a gold watch or a Cadillac,she will then says that she wanted to talk to him in a firm voice that will make Elvis knows that she cares for him in many different ways.After a few explanation on the text,Mr Chua gave us a worksheet on scene 1 and we were needed to hand it in by next literature lesson.Once the class had received the worksheet each,Mr Chua dismissed the class from his lesson and he rush o for his next lesson.

Term 3 week 4 (MON)

Hey it is week 3 already! One more week to NDP ;) OK so today,Mr Chua started the class by reading up the Scene one of AYLT(Are You Lonesome Tonight?).It was a sad thing that his important love one left him, but still i am disappointed at Elvis as he was a drug addict! In the text says that he needed those pills to soothe his pain and agony. Those pills were actually normal pills but instead he misused it and ended up dead due to the consumption of those pills. How sad... During his younger days he had a lot of girlfriends as he was popular amongst the females. One of the are REDHEAD. In this scene shows more of Elvis feelings toward his love ones. Most of the feelings were Negative because he thought that everyone wanted his wealth instead of his care and love. Whenever REDHEAD tried to have a conversation with Elvis, Elvis would start the conversation by asking her whether she wanted a gold watch or a Cadillac. Those stuffs are worth more than her feelings because whenever he said that to her,she will feel that she is used by Elvis and she won't feel any connection of love between the both of them. Because of Duke and Gerry, the cronies, It turned out to be like this.Everyone around him cared about him(except Duke and Gerry) , They all want him to be a happy and humble man, because of his fame, cronies such as Duke and Gerry, changed him. The school bell rang, Mr Chua finished his last sentence and greeted the class good bye and left for his next lesson.

Term 3 week 3 (TUE)

WOW,time do flies. I still can't believe it is week two already! ;D Today lesson was quite surprising for me because it was about Elvis Presley! I didn't know that we were needed to learn about him. I was quite surprised when most of my classmates didn't know who was Elvis Presley. I heard many stories of him. He was a LEGEND,I'll tell you! xD The beginning of class,Mr Chua told us to write at least some facts that we knew about Elvis Presley on a piece of foolscap paper in columns. There were three columns,first column was to write down what did we knew about him. The second column was what would we want to know about him. As for the last column,i couldn't remember what did i wrote.(sorry) This is what i wrote for the first column,he is The King Of Rock & Roll. :D Then we were given each a worksheet. The worksheet contains all the fact about Elvis Presley. It was quite interesting to read. After this lesson,i have learned so much about him. I learned that he was grossly overweight and depressed when he died. How disappointing.. :( The one thing that was interesting for me was that he died on the day i was born which is on 16 August. I was told by my parents and also documentaries. COOL! We were told that we will be learning more about his song that has a lot of meaningful words to it. Most of the words came from his daily life. The title is "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" And not forgetting himself that we will be learning about. Mr Chua had also showed us some videos on Elvis Presley when he was performing during his younger days. After we had watched the video,the bell had rang. Mr Chua and my classmates greeted one another and started off with our next lesson as per normal.

Term 3 week 3 (MON)

For today,there was no school meaning no LESSONS! xD It was a public holiday. But no worries i will still be posting not about my holiday of course. Haha! I will be reflecting about the previous lesson.
Previous lesson was much about the project that we will be doing on a later day,date and time.So, currently we are not planning much due to the busy schedules that we are having nowadays. Still we will be planning the project as soon as possible. xD

Term 3 week 2 (TUE)

The objective of today's lesson was to finish up our previous work which is the grouping. Once Mr Chua came into the class,he told the class to lined up outside the class and proceed to the ACES gallery. We sat together with our own group mates and had further discussions on the postings. All of had agreed on assigning Kaili as the Director! Congrats~ :) As for the others,don't be too sad. There are still loads of creative positions for us!

That's all for the positions. Hopefully the act is going to be a excellent one for our group. :D Most of us choose Merchant Of Venice due to the fact that Romeo and Juliet requires FAKE KISSING! OMG. Haha. And because of the kissing part,none of us had chosen R&J. Once done deciding and discussing,we went back to our class and started of with our next lesson.

Term 3 week 2 (MON)

Whoah... So fast its already Semester two! And that means back to posting literature lessons onto individuals BLOG! :) On Semester two,we were told that we will be doing another act but its going to be much more difficult than the previous one! Hopefully it will be interesting,I am definitely looking forward for lessons. Today on our first literature lesson,Mr Chua kindly briefed us thoroughly on what we will be doing for the semester. Firstly,we were all mixed in groups named,Alpha,Bravo,Charlie and Delta. Well I am in Bravo. ;D After the explanation was given,we were given each a paper. At the back of the paper,there are a few columns that we were needed to fill in the names for our group.Not only filling is required though because beside those columns there are POSITIONS. For example,Director. In every positions,we have to think thoroughly whether or not to put the suitable names into those columns. Once we were done writing names,the school bell rang. So it was the end of our Literature lesson. Mr Chua reminded us to ill in those columns by the next lesson which is on Tuesday. Then,we exchange greetings of goodbye and went for our next lesson.

Term 2 week 4 (THUR)

Phew! Today was the re-run for our Macbeth performance. It was a better one rather than our first Macbeth performance which totally fail.We dash to the toilet to change to our costumes.This time my group went for much more simpler costumes,which is just black trash bag,a wand and a mask for our eyes and i also managed to remember my lines! Yeah! Once all of us had done our performance,Miss Malyanah told us her opinion on all our performances.This time her opinion is much more better as we did much more better and also without any wardrobe malfunction.

Her opinion was much more a compliment because she sees that we have put a lot of effort on the performance even though it is hard to think of the costumes and everything that needed to be create in just a few days.Well all our effort were worth it because from those hardship that we faced,we can learn many things such as teamwork,creativity and many more.Without teamwork we won't be able to at least make one simple performance.Once Miss Malyanah had done with her small talk,she dismiss us and told us to change our uniforms and went for our recess.Signing off,Syafiqah :)

Term 2 week 4 (TUE)

Booms! Today was the Macbeth performance.Well everything ended and started badly as most of us wasn't prepared on what to do for the performance.How sad.The first thing Miss Malayanah told us to do when she went into the classroom was to push all our tables to the side of the classroom.Then she told all of us to change to our Macbeth performance attire.All of us quickly dash to the toilet as we were afraid that we didn't have enough time to perform.

Once all of us were done changing,make-up and etc. without further delay Miss Malyanah told us to start our performances right away.Due to the short timing we have.I wasn't sure which group come first but i know that my group went third.During the moment of waiting,i had a wardrobe malfunction.All didn't go as well i wanted it to be.Everything was upside down.My witch hat wasn't as interesting as it supposed to be,i even forgotten my lines. Haiyo! So paisey. Not only my group had problems,some other group also had their own problems.Since all of our performance was not great,Miss Malyanah had decided to give us one more try on our performances.We were given a re-run on the next literature lesson which is on Thursday.The bell rang just at the right moment where Miss Malyanah had ended her opinion on our performances.Once we cleaned up the classroom,straight away we dash for our recess.Signing off,Syafiqah :)

Term 2 week 3 (THUR)

As for today we didn't do much physical as we were only busy on doing some admins on our literature files and also discussing on our Mid Year Exams.For the files we were needed to do our final admins on it as it was the last day to pass it up to Miss Malyanah.As for the discussion,Miss Malyanah gave us tips on how to pass our literature exams.She also gave us some stack of character traits from Romeo and Juliet and also some notes on Cinquains and some other chapters of literature.

She had also mention that MEMORIZING and LEARNING the traits can help us boost on our marks for the exams.It is also very much important as it can help as much as it is on the exam papers.On our Essay writing,we have to use the Formula P.E.E in order to pass some parts of the Essay writings.Hopefully i would try my very best on passing my exams for the Mid Year.The bell rang,we greeted Miss Malyanah good bye and dash out for our recess,Signing off,Syafiqah :)

Term 2 week 3 (TUE)

As Miss Malyanah entered the class she asked us whether we had done with our files and are they ready to be submitted or not.Miss Malyanah just told us that our files were going to be checked by our Literature teacher which is Mr Tyrus Chua.But most of us were not done with the files,so Miss Malyanh decided to give us one more chance to finish up with the files by the next lesson.After doing some administration,Miss Malyanah told us to arranged our tables to the side of the classroom.

We were told to sit according to our groups of three which is our groups for the Macbeth performance.Miss Malyanah had decided to pick out some of the groups to do a quick rehearsal in the front of the classroom.Then she started picking our random index numbers,all of us started to get panic because we were afraid that we will be laughed at and also our quick rehearsal was not up to standard,example our voice not be as loud as an opera singer or at least a volume of 7.Almost all of the group were picked out to perform,but luckily my group and one of the boys group did not need to perform due to lack of time. Haha. All of us seen great talents from one and another.But some was not up to standard to Miss Malyanah because they were to shy to speak up at a volume of 7 and some didn't have the courage to do some actions in their performance.After our quick rehearsal performance,Miss Malyanah told us to go back to our seats,then we greeted Miss Malyanah good bye and dash out for our recess.

Term 2 week 2 (THUR)

For today,we did a lot of filing as Miss Malyanah told us that our file will going to be checked by the principal,i think.Today's period was not much thing that i could write down as we only did filing and file checking.Miss Malyanah told us to take out our files and all the literature papers that we had with us.She told us to punch hole every one of those papers,so that it will not be a burden for us,also the principal and the teachers whom are going to check our files.

Some of us were blur at that time,so Miss Malyanah decided to give us a hand by helping us reorder the papers.She told us which paper would come first and which will be next.After she had helped us reordering them,all of us were much more better in handling the papers.Most of could not get the file on time as there were not enough punch holes to be used in the class.So Miss Malyanah decided to let us hand up the file on the next literature lesson.I was soo glad that she gave us a few days for us top hand up the file.Then the bell rang,so we greeted Miss Malyanah good bye and left for our recess.Oh yeah i almost forgotten about April fool's day and the next day is Good Friday.Wishing everybody a happy April fool's day and also wishing all Christians Good Friday.Signing off,Syafiqah :)

Term 2 week 2 (TUE)

Today we didn't do much of acting because it was time to concentrate on our upcoming acting.Miss Malyanah had mention to us that not only us that were acting Macbeth.But is actually ALL OVER THE WORLD that is participating in this exercise.She had also shown us some videos on other students from different parts of the country reenacting the Act 1 scene 1 of Macbeth.The first video consists of three girls in a small forest doing the scene,then it was three boys.It was a little bit weird though if a guy would act as three witch,but they did it perfectly.For the last one,it was a stop-motion video,which was done perfectly of course.Even though we couldn't hear the sound of the video,it was still magnificent as is was creatively done.

After watching the video,we were told to go into our groups of three for the Macbeth.My group consists of me,Beatrice and Doreen.Miss Malyanah told us to discuss on what to do for the upcoming act which is going to next Thursday.My group discuss about the props as we know it is an important part in the act.We were told that we needed to use recycled items for our props,so that we won't waste our precious money on the act as it is unnecessary for all of us. Haha. After all the discussion were done,we went back to our sits and greeted the teachers good bye and went for our recess.

Term 2 week 1 (THUR)

For today we did mostly acting.Today we got our common test paper back.I couldn't remember what i got for the test,but don't worry when i get my paper back i will post it.The we started off with was an awesome period.Firstly,Miss Malyanah told us to put four tables to the side of the classroom then,she had asked the class for at least 10 volunteers to come out and stand in the centre of the classroom to act.Zuhairi was the first one to raise his hand up because he adore acting so much and he might have a good chance in acting maybe in the future. Haha. :) The class got many brave volunteers.Those who come out and volunteered,bravo to them. As for those who were forced,too bad is your lucky day. Hehe. The class do have a lot of popular actor and actresses.One of the actresses is Sabrina.She was born to act.

Then once the class got 10 volunteers,Miss Malyanah told them to act as burglars.These burglars are attempting to break into a mansion that is full of expensive jeweleries.Miss Malyanah told them to act like what a burglar will do if he/she were to break into a house.Then after they acted as burglars,Miss Malyanah told them to go back to their sits.Then she told us that she wanted us to do a play.This play could have as much actors as they want to.The first actor which is the first volunteer to come out to the centre of the classroom will need to think of something to act out in order there is a subject to be played on the play itself.Once the first few actor/actresses had started their act,many will keep on joining in the play with different kind of acts.With different kind of acts,the play will be much more interesting.After more and more people had started to join the play,we see many different acts such as DJ,Hosts,Reporters etc.Then the bell had rang and our lesson needed to end.Even though time flies so fast,still we had an another great lesson of Literature. ;D Signing off,Syafiqah. :)

Term 2 week 1 (TUE)

Today was our first lesson for term 2 ! Back to school. Since it is a new term,so our literature lessons have been re-scheduled. OK,today Miss Malyanah took the class for literature.Today's lesson was more relaxing for the whole class.There was not much in theory on today's lesson.Firstly Miss Malyanah told us to shift 4 tables to the side of the classroom,so that we can have an open space for us to walk around in the centre of the classroom.Miss Malyanah told us that the lesson today was all about teaching us on how to act and also practise for the upcoming drama that we are needed to do.The drama that we are going to act out on is from the act 1 scene 1 of Macbeth,so excited all of us were.Then she called out all the even number students,my index number is 14,so i was needed to be in the centre of the classroom with the rest of the even number of students while the rest just sit and watch the act.After our act was done,it was the odd number students that were needed to be in the centre of the classroom. Haha. All of us were needed to the same thing which is just walking around the open space with a number of speed.From a speed of 1 to 10.

After that was done,Miss Malyanah told us all to stand in the middle of the classroom to join the others that were standing there.This time,we were needed to act as a little child happily skipping,a gangster trying to scare people off and lastly an old grandmother walking down the street with a crooked back.Each of us must at least act out all of those three characters.When the teacher had given instruction to change characters,then we are supposed to change.After doing all that act outs,we wrap up the lesson as the bell had already rang.We greeted the teacher goodbye and went off for our recess. Term 1 week 10 (FRI)

Today lesson is so unique.Miss Malyanah came in with a few strips of black cloth.All of us didn't know what she wanted to do with today lesson.Then after greeting her,she explain to us about the strips of black cloths.We were told that today we are "going" on a "imaginary trip or so called land".As for Mr Chua,again he didn't come for the lesson.So its going to be Miss Malyanah lesson again.Then she hand out the blindfolds to all of us.Each of us got one blindfold.Once she was done giving out the blindfolds,she instructed us to shut our eyes and put on the blindfolds on top of our eyes.Even though is a little bit irritating for the eyes,i just put it on.

Then,our "trip" started.Miss Malyanah closed the lights and started to let us imagine things such as....

• Choose a place you like the most which you'll feel very private...
• What do you see/touch/smell/feel in that place.
• Then what will you pack when you are going for a trip? (E.g valuables,clothes, etc.)
• What transport are you on? (boat,plane,car, etc.)
• Where are you reaching to? (E.g Italy,Bali, etc.)
• What do you saw?
• You saw someone that you never thought you would see at that moment.
• Something unexpected happened.
• Needed to solve the problem as soon as possible.

During the imagine period,i imagined myself sitting on the sand from Bali.I smell the aroma of the fresh air coming towards me.I also felt the smooth surface of the sand.After all the imaginary things has ended,Miss Malyanah wanted us to stand up and untie our blindfolds and slowly open our eyes.When i open my eyes,my eyes got irritated because of the bright lights that were in the room.But soon after that,my eyes went easy by itself.It was such a relaxing literature lesson we had.To my surprise,some even had fell asleep during the 'imaginary journey'.Again,we got a worksheet from Miss Malyanah.The worksheet was about the imaginary stuffs,we needed to write down what we had experience during that period. To THOSE who slept during that period,had to create their own feelings because they didn't imagined instead the went to sleep. HAHA. Signing off,Syafiqah :D

Term 1 week 10 (WED)

Tuesday was our literature common test.Hopefully i pass the test.So today,we had normal lessons as usual because our common test had already ended.For this week,we have been learning all about LOVE.It was so awkward at first,but in the end,it was quite interesting though.Mr Chua didn't come for today lesson instead,Miss Malyanah took over the class.We greeted her and then she started to give our some papers.She told us to fold the paper like a brochure.Then,she instructed us to walk around the class and ask at least 5 girls and 5 boys for their quality of a future partner. (Its kinda awkward but it was fun as we get to walk around the class) :D.

After that,we have to choose at least one of the qualities from our friend's qualities that we just wrote down on the brochure.Miss Malyanah then taught ask about the quality of love from Greeks.Then we were given homework to do.We were needed to finish up the brochure and hand it up on the next lesson.We greeted Miss Malyanah good bye and started of with our next lesson.Signing off,Syafiqah :)

Term 1 week 9 (FRI)

Oh how delighted i was.Mr Chua is back from his MC.But still Miss Malyanah had to teach us literature because she is a trainee teacher and she needs to know on how to teach the students well.I was fine with it.OK,so today lesson was about asking our classmates questions,because by asking them questions,we can get a higher chance on passing our exams for literature.

Firstly Miss Malyanah told us to get into our bravo formation which is in pairs.My pair was Sabrina.Then she told us to marked our partners worksheets,so that she know we are not cheating.Once that was done,we were told to lined up outside the class.So all of us took our literature file and stationery's and we lined up outside in an orderly manner. ;D. We went to the Art Gallery which is just at the end our class corridor.At first i didn't know what we were going to do,then Miss Malyanah told us that we are going to get into pairs but it must be of the different gender.We kept on changing partners after the third time,we stopped doing so,because Miss Malyanah told us to get into lines.My first partner was Gerald followed by Azfar and i forgotten the last person who interviewed me.After the interviewing was over,we headed back to class and the bell had rang once we entered the class.The teachers dismissed us for recess and we went off.That's all for our literature lesson for today. Term 1 week 9 (WED)

Mr Chua was absent.So Miss Malyanah took over the class for today.Today lesson was all about Romeo and Juliet.Miss Malyanah explain it quite well.She expresses it nice though. Haha.We were given worksheets to do.Then we were told that there was going to be a literature remedial after school at 2.30pm to 3.30pm.All of us was quite excited because it was our fist literature remedial in the NE Library! And we also didn't know what we would expecting for the remedial. How cool isn't it ? ;D. Then the bell rang and we started with our next lesson.

After school ! we stayed back for our literature remedial,which is at 2.30pm.All of my classmates including 2Dynamic class went to the NE Library and gathered there.It was delightful to feel the coolness in the room. Haha. We like the air conditioner very much! Once we reached at the NE library,we were assigned into a group.We were needed to combine with Dynamic.During grouping our class and Dynamic class just couldn't keep our mouth shut.Miss Malyanah had troubled getting us to keep quiet as we are in the library.Then we watch a video on Merchant of Venice.It was kinda cool to watch a old movie. Haha. Then we were given worksheets to do,of course it was related to the story that we had just watched.Then all of us were given a few minutes to do the worksheet as a group.After the minutes were over,we couldn't complete the worksheet,so the teachers had decided to let us finish the rest of the worksheet and passed it up the next Friday.That's all for the day for LITERATURE =D. Term 1 week 8 (FRI)

OK,so today we greeted Mr Chua as usual the we started our lesson as soon as possible.For today we had 2 lessons for literature as we had make up lessons for it.For the first lesson,Mr Chua taught us on Sonnets.He gave us a worksheet on it.There were numeral questions that were needed to fill up.We also learned about couplet and alternative rhyme scheme.And iambic,which is the way we speak using stress and unstressed.The bell rang and we got ready four our next lesson.For the second lesson,we were given a worksheet on our founding fathers,Mr Chua told us that even though we are learning literature now,our founding fathers are also important in literature.Then we went down to the Movers and Shakers gallery,to do the worksheet because the answer for the worksheet are found at the Movers and Shakers gallery.Then we were given the whole period of literature to complete the worksheet.After the bell had rang we went back to class and greeted the teachers goodbye.Then some of us went home and others went to their own cca for the day.

Term 1 week 8 (WED)

Okay.So today lesson was all about Romeo and Juliet lines.We went through Romeo lines and we also we tried to understand the meaning of every lines that Romeo had said.Most of the lines that Romeo had spoken was absolutely romantic indeed.Here are some of the lines that Romeo had said to Juliet and also pictures to describe the sentences:


'Oh,she doth teach the torches to burn bright!'
means Juliet is bright and beautiful than any other flaming torch.


'It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope's ear.
means that Juliet shine beautifully like shiny bright diamonds like up in the night sky.


'So shows a snowy dove trooping amongst crows,
As yonder lady over her fellows show'
means Juliet is compared to a dove which are beautiful while the other ladies in the Ball are compared to crows,which is ugly of course.

After filling up the blanks on the worksheet that Mr Chua had given us earlier during the lesson,he decided to give us a homework.We were needed to complete the activity on the other page of the worksheet by the next literature lesson.The class were needed to compose a description of our loved one using the format used by Romeo.That was what we were supposed to do for our homework.It was quite difficult to complete it.Mr Chua told us even though we didn't know how to do,we could at least try.So we decided to put our effort onto the worksheet.Then we greeted the teachers goodbye and we started our next lesson.

Term 1 week 7 (FRI)

First things first.Mr Chua entered our class and told us to get into our Bravo formation.Everyone move into their formation.Next,he ask us to sit according to our groups which are Romeo,Juliet,Tybalt and Lord Capulet.I sat beside Ramona.Then was all of us were settled,Mr Chua showed the class a standard mind-map made by other students from other classes. he showed us the mind-maps because we are needed to do a mind-map in pairs of course.Most of us were impressed when we first saw the mind-map made by the students.It was done beautifully.

The mind-map that me and my pair needed to do was about Juliet.We are supposed to plan about what we wanted to write on the mind-map and then decorate it on a blank piece of paper.The assignment is due on Friday which is on the 26Th February 2010.Next Mr Chua gave a letter for our parents to sign it.The letter was about out learning log marks.I got 64%.Then we got back our friendship card! Mr Chua gave out the cards that we made for our ultimate best friend from the previous lesson that we had done.He then had supplied an envelope and a stamp for each of us.Thank you Mr Chua. =)

After given out the envelopes,we are supposed to write out the address of our ultimate best friend on the front of the envelope.I didn't know who to send the envelope to,so i decided to write my little sister home address which is mine home address. Haha.We then queue up infront of the teacher's desk to collect our stamp and paste it on our envelope.Eventually,the bell rang and it was time for our recess but most of us can't go for recess yet because some of them have not yet collect their stamp.Once everyone was done pasting the stamp on the envelope,we dashed off to the canteen.Then the literature lesson ended. Term 1 week 7 (WED)

We greeted Mr Chua and sat down.Today Mr Chua had to start a new story,which is the Romeo and Juliet story.Firstly we got a piece of paper titled 'Character Analysis'.The characters that we were needed to analysis were Romeo,Juliet,Tybalt and Lord Capulet.Index number 1 to 10 is Romeo,11 to 20 is Juliet,21-30 is Tybalt and 32-42 is Lord Capulet.Mr Chua gave us the whole period of literature to watch the movie of Romeo and Juliet.But we are not supposed to just watch it,we must also understand the story.

After watching the movie for a whole 40minutes ,Mr Chua wanted ask to complete the worksheet that he had given us before the movie began.Mr Chua wanted to explain more on the story,but he did not have enough time to explain because the bell was going to ring soon.So he quickly give a short explanation on the story and he also told us to complete the worksheet by this coming Friday which is the day of our next literature lesson.He had also reminded us and our literature rep to collect the worksheets that we had done during the holidays.Then we greeted Mr Chua goodbye and we got ready for our next lesson.

Term 1 week 6 (FRI)

Today was as usual,we greeted Mr Chua and we started lesson as soon as possible.We started the lesson with a few worksheets that were given by Mr Chua.The worksheet are about the scene of Shylock and Antonio.Most of the question we needed to answer was about why Shylock had to cut a Pound of flesh from Antonio.The ques are mostly in comprehension styles.There was a written scene on top of the first question.We had to understand the written scene in order to answer the question that were given.That written scene also gave us clue on how to answer the question,which is quite easy but difficult to evaluate it on the paper. Haha.

Most of us didn't know what to do or how to answer the question.We also went through the question one by one.Then the bell rang.How sad.We could not finish the worksheet on time during our literature lesson,so Mr Chua suggest the class to do it on our own.Unfortunately,the lesson ended because Cher lane came to our class to inform us that it was time to proceed to the hall for our Chines New Year celebration.Without hesitation,Mr Chua asked the class to lined up outside the class.P/S I could not remember much of what had happened for today,sorry if the post is quite short.Hope you guys will understand! ;D Signing off.

Term 1 week 6 (WED)

We greeted Mr Chua and we started lesson as soon as possible as always. ;D. Mr Chua had decided on showing us the blog results before we started our lesson.Mr Chua had told us that if our results were below 60,there are needed to stay back after school.Those who were needed to stay back after school,Mr Chua wanted to help them in improving and also he wanted to give some tips on the literature blog.After the whole process of scolding,Mr Chua had decided on giving us some worksheets to be done in the class.The worksheets were mostly about the scene of Merchant of Venice.The worksheet contain a numeral of question about the line that says about Shylock having a pound of flesh from Antonio.We were given 10minutes to complete the worksheet.Most of the student in the class started to think of an answer right away because they fear that their names might be called out by Mr Chua with his 'Bottle of Happiness'.

I had also completed the worksheet even before 10minutes,amazing. Hahas. The questions are quite simple and understandable.Well some of them didn't really quite understand the line and begin on dozing off.Then Mr Chua started using his 'Bottle of happiness' and plopped come out a stick with a name.I didn't really quite remember who was the one that had been called out.So i am sorry.Once that was done,all of a sudden the bell rang,theres was not much time for Mr Chua to explain all the answers.So he decided to make it as a homework for those who have not done the worksheet yet.Today lesson shows me that i can understand stories well and i could manage to answers numeral questions referring to the story easily.Mr Chua started packing his stuffs,then we greeted Mr Chua goodbye and we got ready for our next lesson.Signing off :D

Term 1 week 5 (WED)

Our routine was as per normal,we greeted Mr Chua and started our lesson as soon as possible.

Since this year,our country will be holding the first Youth Olympic Games,And one of the values is Friendship.We were needed to learn about it.I believe that eventhough others are not the same race as us doesn't mean that they cannot be our friends.If you have a good friend then be good to each other and not treat each other like a stranger which you do not know at all.So Mr Chua focus for today was Friendship and what makes your best friend the ultimate best friend.But before he started his lesson on Friendship,each religion was needed to gave their reasons on why they think their god is merciful.After all the reasons were spoken out,we learn about Friendship.Mr Chua refers friendship to the script of Macbeth,as Antonia sacrifice his life Bassanio.We were given 2 minutes to write about 'Who is your best friend?' and 'Why?'.
The first person to be chosen was Salim followed by Farhan,Sarah,Johanna and then last but not least was Sabrina.This are some of the reasons that those 5 people gave.They lend a hand,known for a long time,doesn't betray me,kind and loyal.
We were given an assignment for today.Our assignment for today is to Create a card for your ultimate best friend and design our card nicely so that it could surprise out best friend with a presentable looking card ;D.The assignment was due on the next lesson,which is next week because of the 10th anniversary concert on thursday,the lesson on Friday was canceled.So we had only one lesson for this week.

Term 1 week 4 (FRI)

Mr Chua gave us the last reminder to give our blog id by sunday(29 January 2010).All of us were like uh-oh! But for those who have yet to pass up their blog id will need to pass it up before sunday.

Mr Chua had asked our class to get into our 'Bravo' formation.My partner for 'Bravo' formation is Jerod since he is sitting next to me.Today,we receive a worksheet called "What is Mercy?"Mr Chua gave us 15minutes to complete the worksheet with our partner.Me and my partner completed the worksheet even before 15mins! Is called teamwork! ha ha.Next Mr Chua ask the Buddhist,Christians,Hindu and Muslims students to tell why our god is merciful.Most of the people had no idea what to write.So,Mr Chua decided to give this as homework.For this lesson,our homework is to ask our parents why our god is merciful.We went back to our seats and the class greeted goodbye to Mr Chua.Then,we prepared for the next lesson.Thats all for today lesson.Bye!=)

Term 1 week 4 (WED)

Today literature lesson,we were divided into 4 groups.Antonio,Bassanio,Shylock and Portia.Index no. 1 to 10 is Antonio,index no. 11 to 20 is Shylock,index no. 21 to 30 is Portia and index no. 31 to 42 is Bassanio.My group is Shylock because my index no, is 14.After that,we will need to find a partner to do out work.My partner is Sarah.Next,we need to read the scene of the Merchant of Venice together.We took the rest of the period reading the whole scene of the Merchant of Venice.

We were also given some worksheet to be completed before the next literature lesson.We have to do that worksheet in bravo formation and work with our partner.After finish reading,our class get back to our own seat,greeted Mr Chua good bye and then we got ready for our next lesson.Thats all for today lesson.Bye=)

Term 1 week 3 (FRI)

The lesson was interesting.This year's literature is much more interesting compared to last year's literature because this year we got to experience dramas from various books or countries.The very start of lesson,Mr Chua gave us a pop-quiz.Most of the questions are easy.It's about the characters from the story,Merchant of Venice.After that,Mr chua asked us to read the script of Merchant of Venice for 5 minutes and if we don't know any words we must asked him.We must first make a guess what the word means then Mr Chua will give us the definition.Most of the words we didn't know the meaning .We were ask to guess what were the meanings,so we just guess blankly. Haha. We were needed to search the qualities in Portia's line.There were a lot of points.Phew! And the Bell rang.So disappointing.In the end we have to do it as homework. Haiyo. Mr Chua check the work that was given by Miss Shalar.Luckily,i wrote my index number,name and class.Those who didn't ,had to stay back after school to complete it. also had 2 homework for the weekends.First is the character Traits and secondly is Qualities of Mercy.That's all for Friday's lesson.

We learned about Merchant of Venice.It's a story about a guy named Bassanio who is in love with Portia and needed money to married her.He wanted to borrow money from Antonio but he have no money with him because his money is all on the ship.So,Antonio couldn't help his friend,Bassanio.Then Bassanio wanted to lend some money from a jew named Shylock.Antonio had made a promise.If Antonio couldn't pay back the money by 3 months,Shylock can take any flesh of his body.Unfortunately, Antonio can't pay back because his ship that were full of goods had sank into the deep blue ocean.

1st Literature lesson

Hello peeps!I am Nur Syafiqah

This is my literature blog!I will soon be posting more about my literature lessons.
Wednesday,6 January 2010 is our first lesson of literature.During the lesson,we learned something called Cinquain.Cinquain is a general term applied to poetic poems forms using a 5-line pattern.There are specific forms within that category that are defined by specific rules and guidelines.An example:-

Evergreen
Strict Wonderful
Inspiring Caring Achieving
Evegreen is my second home to me

We are not able to repeat any words like play.Once you wrote play,you are not able to insert any other words like playing or playful.This cinquains has a shape of a Christmas tree.There are many more shapes of designs we can make.First,we have to write the title.The next line,we have to write about our characters.Next,we write something with -ing at the back.After that,we are supposed to write a sentence about ourselves.Finally,write other words that refers to the subject .We must always remember,not to use a word twice!

After finishing the cinquain,he gave us homework to do.Which is cinquains on 'Literature'.We were fed up at first but,it had to be done.So,we wrote it down on our planner.The work is to be submitted on the next lesson."The bell rang.We greeted goodbye to Mr Chua and,he walked out of class.
